Business Operations Manager – Renewable Energy Division (Solar Farm Project)

About the Company

We are an established company diversifying into the renewable energy sector through the development of a new 8.4MW solar farm on approximately 10 hectares of land. The project is currently in the planning and consent stage, and forms part of the company’s long-term sustainability and energy strategy.

To support this expansion, we are seeking a highly capable Business Operations Manager to lead the establishment of management systems, operational structures, and governance processes for the new business division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, organise, direct, and coordinate the corporate and operational functions supporting the solar farm development;
  • Develop and implement business systems, administrative policies, and operational procedures to ensure efficient and compliant operations;
  • Manage procurement frameworks, supplier agreements, and project-related financial controls;
  • Coordinate corporate services including HR, finance, H&S, and compliance for the renewable energy division;
  • Liaise with consultants, legal advisers, and external stakeholders to ensure regulatory and contractual compliance;
  • Oversee corporate reporting, governance documentation, and performance tracking for management and investors;
  • Support strategic planning and budgeting for the solar business unit;
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to administrative or operational support staff as the division grows.
Qualifications & Experience
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in management, commerce, finance, or another related discipline;
  • At least 5 years of proven experience in managing business operations, marketing, or organisational activities within the renewable energy or solar project sector;
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement business systems, policies, and governance frameworks;
  • Solid understanding of contract administration, procurement, and compliance requirements;
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills;
  • Police clearance and pre-employment medical checks will be required.
