They are looking for an client focused Sales Representative to join their Auckland based team with a specific focus of developing new opportunities and contacts.
Responsibilities- Acquire, grow and retain a customer portfolio
- Build strong, long-lasting relationships including a deep understanding of pain points and needs
- Confidently present and demonstrate the value of existing propositions
- Identify & assist with shaping innovative solutions
- Leverage market research and industry trends
- Generate incremental revenue for the business
- Where applicable negotiate preferred supplier arrangements based on the quality and reliability of our offerings
- Collaborate and engage with our internal teams and external product and service providers
- Maintain customer records, quotes and sales orders in CRM and event bookings in bespoke DMS system
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to expand your professional network and promote our brand
- A flare for design and a creative mindset
- Customer-centric with the ability to understand client needs and present tailored solutions
- Sales and negotiation capability including relationship building and a results-oriented mindset
- Ability to deliver impeccable service to multiple clients

This customer-facing role is all about building long-term valued partnerships (both direct and via 3rd parties) driving their reputation and growth in the market. You will need to develop and relationship manage this portfolio, helping 3rd parties deliver amazing experiences and outcomes for their clients, exhibitors and members as well as winning new business via direct customer acquisition.
You will seek to understand key drivers and needs of each of these partners and implement high quality tailored solutions including promotion of existing propositions and recommendations for developing new innovations that add value to your customer base.
You are customer-centric and will use quantitative & qualitative data and metrics to demonstrate the value of events relative to other forms of promotional activity and/or part of the marketing mix. You are dynamic and results-driven and thrive on closing deals that contribute to our growth and success.
