The opportunity | Te arawāteaAs a Work Broker, you will play a crucial role in supporting people into employment by engaging with local employers and industries, identifying job opportunities and listing sustainable employment solutions for job seekers.

What you'll be doing | Ko te mahiProactively sourcing vacancies by cold calling, networking, and using your sales and marketing skills to uncover new opportunities for job seekers.Profiling job seekers to match them with suitable roles, while building and maintaining professional relationships with both clients and employers.Working closely with Case Managers and other Service Centre staff to support clients in their employment journey.Leading recruitment efforts for both seasonal and permanent roles, as well as engaging with industries to support recruitment and training programmes.Providing tailored employment solutions that benefit both job seekers and employers.

This is a fixed term or secondment opportunity until 30 June 2027 and is based in the Richmond Service Centre.

What you'll need to succeed | Ko tō āhuaProven experience in recruitment, sales, or a similar role where relationship-building with employers is key.A focus on results with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines, job placement targets and an ability to navigate setbacks.Confidence in cold calling, networking, and using technology to source employment opportunities.The ability to identify job opportunities and know what strategies to use to engage employers considering the local labour market.Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively.Flexibility to travel within the region to meet employers as required.

  • This role requires applicants to have a clean full New Zealand Driver Licence.
