About the Role | Mo te tunga

We are currently seeking a CNC Machine Operator to join our Profile Centre team. Reporting to our Profile Centre Leader, this role involves coordinating with team members to ensure that our laser, router, waterjet, and brake press machines are set-up and operating efficiently, with the aim to ensure that all jobs are produced on time, within budget, and to the required customer specifications.

Key responsibilities include: Working with our CNC programmer to assess and plan jobs, and sequencing workloads within specified timeframes.

Reading and interpreting CAD drawings, and matching DXFs, to perform accurate alignment, loading, and operations in conjunction with other related tasks.
Diagnosing faults and carrying out regular operational maintenance and repairs on machines as required.
Conducting periodic checks on parts and fitting them using precision measuring instruments to maintain machine accuracy.

Regularly monitoring finished products to ensure that they meet the required specifications and quality parameters.

About You | Mo te tangata

Our ideal candidate is someone who has at least two years’ relevant experience operating and troubleshooting CNC machinery such as laser cutter, waterjet, brake presses and router machinery. Alternatively, you are someone who is mechanically minded with an eagerness to learn.

Ideally you will be familiar working within a workshop environment, know your way around power tools, and are confident with computers and learning new systems. If you have a forklift licence or equivalent than that’s a bonus!

You are someone who takes pride in your work, demonstrates initiative and problem-solving, and is dedicated and reliable. You enjoy learning new skills, can work both independently and as part of a team, and you strive to deliver exceptional results.

You will have strong communication skills, have a solid grasp of safety requirements within a workshop environment, and are eligible to live and work in New Zealand.
