Hamilton Home Improvements is looking for an experienced qualified carpenter to be part of our team.
We are a small family-based company operating in and around Hamilton and Morrinsville, specialising in renovations.
The type of work we do varies greatly. Each day can be very different.We mainly do renovations, extensions, alterations and maintenance building work, but also build the occasional new architectural home.
We do work within maintenance work throughout various facilities in the Waikato; we also do full bathroom renovations, decks, shed/garage conversions, replacement joinery installation, and re-cladding work.
Our ideal candidate: Ideally around 10 years experience
- Is hard-working, honest and reliable
- With great attention to detail
- Has good communication skills with clients/ sub trades / the team and able to listen to clear instructions
- Is willing to travel from time to time & stay away from home for work around the Waikato region if it comes up.
- Is able to work on their own and unsupervised as well as work well in a small team and liaise with clients
- Is able to follow all H&S guidelines and procedures at all times
- Has a full driver’s license and can drive a manual vehicle as well as use a trailer
- Has their own hand tools, including PPE & majority of power tools would be beneficial
- Can think outside the square and problem solve
- Confidently read plans and know a variety of building materials
- Must be able to pass a police check if required.
