EquipOutdoors is looking for a dynamic and hands-on Ecommerce Warehouse Operations Team Leader & Customer Service Support person to join our passionate team in Hamilton!
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in ensuring our online distribution operation runs smoothly and our customers receive the exceptional service they deserve. You'll be the bridge between our warehouse and our customers, overseeing the entire process from order placement to delivery while also supporting our retail customer service team with online order enquiries.
What You'll Be Doing:
Your role is a blend of warehouse leadership and direct customer support. You'll be one of the go-to people for everything related to our online orders, from the moment they come in, to the moment they're shipped out.
Key responsibilities include:
- Order Fulfilment: Manage the entire order process, from processing online orders and creating stock transfers between the warehouse and our retail store to the final stages of picking, packing, and dispatch. You’ll also coordinate with couriers and lodge claims for lost or damaged goods.
- Customer Service: Be one of the primary points of contact for online customer inquiries via email and phone. You'll handle everything from tracking updates and shipping inquiries to resolving issues promptly and professionally.
- Warehouse Management: You'll open and close the warehouse, oversee the day-to-day operations, and ensure the space is safe, clean, tidy, and well-organised. This includes managing inwards goods, conducting stock takes, and monitoring inventory levels.
- Team Leadership: While this is a hands-on role, you'll also be instrumental in assisting with the training, management, and motivation of warehouse staff. Your positive attitude will be key to fostering a productive and supportive team environment.
- Process Improvement: Constantly looking for ways to improve our processes and leverage technology to make our operations more efficient and productive.
What We're Looking for:
- A strong communicator, both written and verbal with excellent problem-solving skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
- A keen eye for detail, a knack for keeping things tidy and organized.
- A hands-on approach and a proactive mindset.
- Willing to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient with MS Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
- Experienced in a similar role with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Holds a restricted or full driver’s license.
- Physically fit as some heavy lifting is required.
The Details:
- Hours: This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, totalling 37.5 hours per week. Our core hours are 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, but we can be flexible if needed (e.g., 8:30 am to 4:30 pm).
- Peak Periods: You will be required to work on Saturdays during our peak season months from November through to January and occasionally outside those months as required around special sale periods.
