About this role | Mō tēnei tūranga As an Advisor, Office of the Hautū, you will work collaboratively to deliver high- quality, strategic advice and timely information to the Hautū.
This role calls for a strategic thinker with the ability to assess a wide range of information and insight to support the Office and decision-making.

About you | Mōhou ake The Advisor works as part of the Office of the Hautū to provide high-quality advice and information to the Hautū to ensure the Office and Hautū can meet and support the priorities of Te Pou Rangatōpū as the Corporate group of the Ministry.

Experience working in the public sector and an understanding of the machinery of government Sound political awareness and knowledge of government processes, with proven ability to navigate ambiguity in a complex environment Strong written and oral communication skills Good organisational skills and ability to manage competing priroities and remain calm under pressure The ability and willingness to adhere to the Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct.
About our group and team | Mātau rōpū ake Our group has two key roles which operate together- keeping the Ministry safe by delivering essential Ministry-wide statutory and corporate functions, and delivering improvements to how the Ministry works, so that we can achieve our priorities and support the ministry to deliver the Governemnt's priorities.
The Office of the Hautū (the Office) is responsible for providing group-wide services and support.
It provides executive and strategic advice and support to the Hautū, Te Pou Rangatōpū and the group's senior leadership team, and acts as a key interface between Te Pou Rangatōpū and the wider organisation.The Office plays a critical role in identifying and advising the Hautū and senior leaders on group performance, key risks and issues, and strategic matters affecting the group and organisation.
It also provides high quality advice and support to ensure the Hautū can operate effectively and efficiently and is well supported.
