Established in 2018, Summit Contracting Limited is made up of a team of experienced staff who are passionate about biosecurity and conservation in New Zealand. We are looking to expand this team and are seeking individuals who are keen to have a career in the great outdoors in a leadership role.

Based in Alexandra, Summit Contracting Limited offers a variety of Pest Control and Conservation services from small scale possum ground control to large scale vector control and survey, ungulate control and complete eradication.

Though based in Alexandra, our work is in various areas in the lower South Island so there is no requirement for successful candidates to live in Alexandra. Most contracts require staff to 'stay away' for 10 days with 4 days off. Accommodation will be provided while you are away for work.

Ideally, the successful applicant will have some experience and have the following qualifications, however, there will be opportunities for attaining necessary qualifications as an employee:

Current Controlled Substance License
Comprehensive First Aid
NZ Certificate in Pest Operations (Level 3)
4WD Driver Training Qualification
Unit Standards in Quad, LUV, Two Wheel Motorcycles
Unit Standards in GPS and Outdoor Navigation
Unit Standards in Chainsaw Operation
New Zealand Firearms License
New Zealand Drivers License

This is a physically demanding role working in the great outdoors with all of its conditions and weather etc. We are looking for passionate outdoors people who are willing to learn practical skills in a very rewarding job.

Successful applicants will be required to undergo a drug and alcohol test.
