We would like Healthcare Assistants to come and join our wonderful care team here. Due to our new wing opening later in the year, we have full time, part-time and casual positions available to help support, challenge and enhance the social, emotional and physical wellbeing of our residents.As part of the care team, you will feel highly valued in your fundamental role in providing exceptional support and care. You will thrive in a holistic partnership, while celebrating life with our residents. You will be providing all aspects of clinical care, constantly using your skills and initiative to contribute to our philosophy.
Essential Skills we are looking for –- Ensure all residents are able to have their daily activities of life met, including but not limited to: washing, dressing, feeding, grooming, toileting, physically moving and supporting, assisting participation in activities and promoting independence.
- Provide emotional and spiritual support as required.
- Maintain the dignity and privacy of the residents, including adhering to confidential policies.
- Ensure residents’ environments are always clean and hygienic and maintained to high standards, including repairing or reporting broken equipment as needed.
- Adhere to health professional’s requirements in terms of specified care for individual residents
- Complete relevant documentation for residents including contributing to care plans and incident reports.
- EITHER a relevant aged/health care qualification (or equivalent), such as a Certificate in Health and Wellbeing in Level 2, 3 or 4
- OR if no qualification, we can assist you with onsite training.
- A commitment to supporting and mentoring new staff with the The Grange Lifecare orientation programme.
