The team provide education, support and planning tools to ensure patients are well informed and prepared for their procedure. This role also provides a vital link for identifying changes in health to ensure patients receive timely, appropriate and safe care.Please click here to view the position descriptionAbout the Team/Service/ LocationOur team works closely with consultants to provide culturally safe, person-centred care utilising evidence-based nursing knowledge and skills to health care consumers and whānau.The successful applicants will work in an outpatient space where they have easy links to the surgical booking team, planned care team, pre-admission complex discharge coordinator and MDT.For more information on living and working in Taranaki click hereAbout youAs a Pre-admission Surgical Outpaient Department RN you will need: New Zealand Registered Nurse with a current Annual Practicing Certificate.

Surgical / Medical nursing experience - minimum 5 years preferableIdeally hold a current Senior/Expert Nurse PDRPTo undertake clinical assessment and management of health care consumers in a safe effective, timely and appropriate manner to maximise health care consumer outcomesClinical assessment and Science post grad papers preferredWorking at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
