Relief Dispatcher - CTL Operations
Our team prides itself on professionalism, safety and innovation and as we continue to grow, we are looking for a motivated individual to join us as a Relief Dispatcher.
This is a key operational role providing relief dispatch coverage for our CTL team. You will be trained to manage dispatch for our bulk, fertiliser and whey divisions, ensuring smooth coordination and timely delivery.
This position offers variety and responsibility, with opportunities to learn and develop within a supportive environment and in addition to dispatch duties, you will also be required to provide relief truck driving across the company.
The roster is variable, and during the whey season, you will be required to work some night shifts. This flexibility is essential to keep our operations running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Provide relief dispatch services across CTL operations including coordinating and managing dispatch schedules.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental and operational standards
- Maintain accurate records and support efficient fleet use
- Communicate with customers and team members to deliver high-quality service
- Support continuous improvement and cost-effective operations
- Foster a positive, safety-focused, and adaptable team culture
- Valid Class 5 licence and proven truck driving experience
- Proven driving experience and understanding of transport operations
- Strong communication, planning, time management, multitasking, and teamwork skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to lead and motivate staff
- Solutions-focused with proven problem-solving skills
- Tech savvy; comfortable with a range of business software
- Dispatch or logistics experience (preferred)
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Safety conscious, ensuring compliance with operational standards
- Ability to work on a variable roster, including night shifts during peak season
- Physically fit, reliable and drug free
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
