Lead Cloud Engineer

Manage Azure environment including identity and access management

• BAU, ServiceNow ticketing, and incident escalation
• Train and upskill team members on Azure platform

Our client is a leading organisation in Auckland seeking an experienced Azure Engineer to join their team. You'll provide BAU support and ensure the stability and security of their cloud environment while helping to develop internal capability.

This is a 3-month contract role with the potential to extend. You'll take ownership of Azure management, identity and access governance, and incident response, as well as providing training to an existing team member.

• Manage Azure subscriptions, identity and access management
• Resolve tickets within SLAs and log all updates in ServiceNow
• Prioritise and escalate critical incidents in line with policy
• Provide recommendations on Azure trends and improvements
• Assist with MFA, Conditional Access Policies, and PIM setup
• Train and support team members on Azure platform capabilities

• Strong experience managing Microsoft Azure environments
• Skilled in identity and access management
• Experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing tools
• Proven ability to resolve and escalate incidents within SLA
• Knowledge of MFA, Conditional Access, and PIM setup
• Excellent communication and training skills

• Immediate start, 3-month initial contract with likely extension
• Auckland based role
