Cafe Assistant Manager (2IC) - Columbus Café - Hornby Mitre 10 MEGA

About the Role

As Assistant Cafe Manager (2IC, you'll work closely with the Cafe Manager and wider team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, uphold our high service standards, and create an outstanding customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate across the business to support goals and deliver exceptional guest outcomes
  • Oversee daily cafe operations and staff management
  • Ensure compliance with, and uphold, health & safety standards
  • Drive service excellence
  • Manage stock levels and supplier relationships
  • Lead and support cafe promotions and social media presence
What We're Looking For
  • A passion for hospitality and a proactive, collaborative mindset
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar leadership role
  • Experience working in a fast-paced cafe as a Barista
  • Have pretty slick cafe and customer service skills
  • Be keen and willing to learn our way of making coffee
  • Love talking to customers about anything and everything
  • Come in every day with an awesome vibe and ready to work
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Confident working as part of a close-knit, supportive team
  • Must have rights to work in New Zealand

We're looking for a team member who is happy to work 20-25 hours per week. Days tbc but will include Sunday and Monday.
