Whanau Support Worker - Christchurch

We are looking for part-time Support Workers in Christchurch for our Whanau Support Services. This role will start at nine hours per week with the potential to increase over time.

You will support people in their home and community to lead fulfilling and meaningful lives, helping them achieve their personal dreams and goals. This may include activities such as swimming, attending sporting events, arts and crafts, movies, or shopping - the list is endless!

- People who are passionate about helping others, and are kind and understanding
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred, including experience working with youth
- Full driver's licence and your own vehicle is essential
- A desire to support people to learn new skills and achieve outcomes
- Someone who has the initiative to encourage people to reach their goals, is energetic, outgoing, and can think outside the box
- You need to be respectful of others' thinking and ways of living that may be different from your own
Empathy, respect, and cultural awareness are important in this role, as the people we support come from diverse backgrounds with varying needs and interests.
