Retail Sales Assistant
Location: Cambridge & Tokoroa Branches
Start Date: March 2025
Job Purpose:We’re looking for a Retail Sales Assistant to deliver excellent customer service at our Asian grocery store. You’ll help customers find products, provide advice on Asian food items, and assist with store organization and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities: Greet and assist customers, offering product recommendations.
Educate customers on Asian food products and their uses.Promote store deals and loyalty programs.
Keep shelves organized, clean, and stocked.
Assist with inventory checks and deliveries.
Handle cash, POS transactions, returns, and complaints.
Show cultural sensitivity and support a welcoming store environment.
Skills & Qualifications: Retail or customer service experience preferred but not required.
Knowledge of Asian foods or a willingness to learn.Strong communication skills in English (additional languages is a plus).
Basic math and cash-handling skills.
Ability to lift and move stocks
Work Conditions: Permanent, full-time (minimum 30 hours/week).
Flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Hourly rate: NZD $23 - $25 per hour (approx. $47,840 – $52,000 per year).Ongoing training and development.
