Your new role:As a Full Stack Software Engineer in the New Zealand Application Delivery team, you will design, develop, maintain and support a range of internal and external applications. You'll work closely with stakeholders to deliver customer-centred solutions, leveraging product thinking and best practices to deliver high-quality, cost-effective software.
Responsibilities:
- Analyse, design, develop and support modern web-based applications
- Apply product and design thinking to create innovative, customer-focused solutions
- Implement continuous delivery practices to deliver incremental value quickly
- Promote best practice in software development to maximise ROI
- Work within a microservices, cloud-native environment (AWS)
Requirements:
- 5+ years' commercial experience in software development
- Proficiency in cloud-friendly languages, ideally with .NET and JavaScript (React, Redux, NodeJS)
- Strong experience with CSS, responsive web design, SASS or Less
- Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and microservices architecture
- Experience with AWS services (Lambda, Lex, API Gateway, OAuth, databases)
- Strong SQL Server knowledge (bonus: NoSQL experience)
- Comfort with lean, experimental approaches and rapid prototyping
- Passion for customer service and human-centred design
