We offer consistent weekday work with a competitive pay rate ranging from $30 - $45 per hour, based on your experience and skill. This permanent full-time role guarantees a minimum of 44 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
What We’re Looking For:We're looking for a reliable and skilled Commercial Plumber to join our team, working on a variety of construction and fit-out projects. You’ll be responsible for a wide range of plumbing duties from underground installation to final fit-off.
Your responsibilities will include:- Reading and interpreting hydraulic drawings and specifications to mark out and lay pipe routes for water, gas, sewerage, and drainage systems
- Excavating and preparing trenches to correct levels for inground services, ensuring proper installation and backfilling in line with required standards
- Installing and modifying piping systems and fixtures, ensuring compliance with current plumbing and hydraulic codes
- Working with a range of materials, including PVC, UPVC, HDPE, and cast iron, for fabrication and installation of drainage and waste stacks
- Installing under-slab and first fix pipework, including cold/hot domestic water, non-potable water, sewer, stormwater, and gas systems
- Installing pipe supports and fixings, such as brackets, hangers, and seismic restraints, using appropriate tools and methods
- Creating penetrations for pipework through timber, steel studs, and concrete, ensuring clean and accurate access
- Assembling and fitting valves and connections, using both screwed and bolted fittings as per system design
- Completing second fix installations such as taps, showers, toilets, baths, floor wastes, sinks, downpipes, hot water units, meters, and tanks
- Applying thermal and acoustic insulation to pipework to meet compliance and performance requirements
- Conducting system testing and commissioning, following all building codes and safety standards
- Working under supervision as required by the Plumbers, Gasfitters and Drainlayers Board (PGDB), adhering to relevant licence conditions and supervision policies
- At least 2 years of NZ commercial plumbing experience.
