Earthmoving Equipment/Plant Operators

We’re looking for skilled Earthmoving Operators to join a variety of projects across the Auckland region. This role suits experienced operators who are confident working across a range of machinery, from dozers and diggers to rollers and loaders.

About the role:

You’ll be operating heavy machinery across a mix of residential, commercial, and civil worksites throughout Auckland. Day-to-day tasks may include:

  • Operating excavators, dozers, loaders, rollers, and related machinery
  • Using attachments like buckets, scoops, hammers, and blades
  • Site preparation, trenching, levelling, and backfilling
  • Following site plans, markers, or verbal directions
  • Performing basic maintenance, cleaning, and servicing of equipment
  • Coordinating with site supervisors and team members to maintain workflow
  • Conducting pre-start checks and ensuring safe operation of equipment
  • Adhering to site safety procedures and reporting hazards promptly

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of machinery operating experience
  • Full NZ Class 1 licence or ability to get an overseas licence converted
  • WTR endorsements (or eligibility and willingness to obtain them)
  • Trade qualification (advantageous but not required)
  • Reliable transport
  • Two contactable work references
  • Strong commitment to safety and site protocols
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen

Benefits:

  • Pay range: $30–$40/hr, depending on experience
