About the Role
We have a fantastic opportunity for motivated and organised person who is a qualified Sterile Services Technician.
You will work as part of a small multi skilled team in the Central Sterile Services (CSS) providing sterile services to the Wairarapa Hospital and in particular our Operating Theatres for acute and elective surgical and medical procedures.
About the Team/Service/ Location
The Registered Sterile Sciences Technician is responsible for maintaining high standards of decontamination, assembly, inspection, wrapping, and sterilisation of reusable medical devices for operating theatres and other wards and departments in compliance with established policies and procedures.A Registered Sterile Science Technician maintains consistency and continuous workflow between Sterile Services (CSS), theatre and hospital wards and clinics while delivering quality customer care.
About you- Has achieved a minimum of L3 / L4 Certificate in Sterilizing Technology and has relevant experience (Level 3 acceptable if completed prior to 2019).
- Member of NZ Sterile Sciences Association (NZSSA).
- Maintains professional registration with the NZSSA Working at Health New Zealand
These are casual positions working 0 - 80 hours per fortnight, as and when required. Applicants must be available at short notice to cover any shift, including weekends and nights. To be eligible to apply for this position you must be a New Zealand citizen or have resident or permanent work visa status.
