Part-time Farm Hand- Northland - Dargaville

Ngati Mahia Farm Investments Ltd is seeking a capable and motivated Part-Time Farm Hand to support the day-to-day operations of our farm. This role is for 25 hours per week, with the possibility of additional hours over busy periods.

• Has farming experience – this is essential
• Can think for themselves, use initiative, and work independently
• Is physically fit and willing to get stuck in
• Takes pride in maintaining tidy and well-presented farm areas
• Is confident working around livestock and machinery
• Has good communication skills and a team mindset
• Has a connection to, or genuine interest in, the local whenua
• Ideally has their own working dogs

• Assisting with feeding and stock care
• General farm maintenance, fencing, and weed control
• Supporting crop and pasture establishment
• Helping with planting and care of shelterbelts and riparian zones
• Ensuring a high standard of tidiness across farm buildings and accommodation
• Following health and safety practices at all times

The role also provides cover for the Farm Manager when needed, so dependability and a proactive approach are important.
