Stand at the stern of the canoe and feel the spray of the future biting at your face Mō te tūnga | About the role National Road Policing Centre (NRPC) is an essential part of the road safety sector and is focused on reducing deaths and serious injuries through the delivery of road safety prevention, education, and enforcement activities.
NRPC provides important services to the Commissioner, Police Executive and Districts in respect of the prevention of serious injury and death on our roads. The NRPC has a reputation for subject matter expertise and for scientific integrity in relation to road safety.
As an Intelligence Supervisor, within the Learning and Insights Group, you will lead a high performing team made up of Intelligence, Geospatial and Performance Analysts with responsibility for the delivery of robust and insightful products across a range of analytical areas.
The products will be used to inform deployment and to underpin advice provided to police districts and other stakeholders relating to effective strategic interventions in road safety. The role will encompass technical skill, thought and people leadership, and relationship management in the context of Intelligence and Performance.
Key Accountabilities: Leadership of our organisational priorities and the strategy as captured in Our Business and enablement of our people to deliver on it. Create and continually develop a high-performance environment that encourages innovation, collaboration, and flexibility.
Skilled communication and collaboration with a wide range of internal and external partners including police districts, other government agencies, and non-government partner agencies. Provided expert technical advice to intelligence staff; within the National Road Policing Centre, across Police districts and the wider intelligence community to enhance intelligence capability.
Set and maintain quality standards for released products, build trust and confidence with clients, and influence decision makers effectively Extensive analytical intelligence expertise would be beneficial. It will be advantageous if you hold a NZ Diploma in Intelligence (NZDIA) or equivalent.
