About the Role – Mo te Turanga
Burlington Care Centre is looking for experienced casual Healthcare Assistants to join our growing team! These casual roles will include covering AM, PM, and weekend shifts and the ability to cover annual and sick leave as needed.You’ll provide best-practice, individualised healthcare to our Rest Home and Hospital-level residents. This role is hands-on and varied, ensuring residents receive the highest standard of care and support every day.
Key responsibilities include:- Delivering care in line with individual care plans and resident notes
- Maintaining knowledge and practice in accordance with training, policies, and procedures
- Accurately identifying, documenting, and reporting changes in residents’ conditions to senior staff
- Completing timely and comprehensive documentation using our Qestral-developed clinical software
- Participating in annual competency reviews to ensure best practice
- Supporting Infection Prevention and Control strategies, including correct use of PPE
- Taking part in Health and Safety drills, training, and safety techniques.
About You – Nga Korero Mou
You’ll bring:- A recognised Healthcare Assistant qualification
- At least 1 year of experience in the healthcare industry, aged care experience would also be advantageous
- Excellent communication skills and a caring, professional approach
- Confidence working in a sole-charge position overnight at the lodge
- Motivation to be a valued team member and deliver a high standard of service and support for our residents
