Dairy Sheep Farm Assistant - Taupo

General Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with any feed planning
• Assist to manage weeds and pests to maintain pasture and crops

• Ensure the effective operation of all aspects of the milking process, including plant
• hygiene and somatic cell count to maintain grade free standards.

• Assist in operation of the effluent system on the farm to regional council compliance
• requirements. Maintain appropriate records

• Assist with the maintenance of good animal health. Be proactive. Take care and

• Assist with lambing and the lamb rearing to achieve minimal losses and ensure high

quality replacement.

Ensure all flock records are maintained.

• Assist to manage repairs and maintenance schedule for all plant, machinery and

infrastructure

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

• Be self- motivated, work as a member of a team and able to communicate

• Have a understanding of and interest in dairy sheep farm work and livestock

• Actively participate in the team operation.
