Our Requirements:
- Tertiary degree with minimum of 3 years of relevant sales or retail experience.
- Experience in the packaging industry.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Multi Lingual is an added advantage.
- Ability to work both independently and with a team.
- Positive attitude and ability to complete tasks on time.
- Proven negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Ability to multi task and build strategic business relationship with customers.
- Must have a valid or eligible to apply for a work visa in NZ.
- Lead a team of retail assistants and ensure store’s monthly and annual sales KPI are met.
- Meet and greet customers and build and nurture client relationships.
- Actively cross and up-sell products to customers.
- Receive and carry incoming goods and put them into storage.
- Undertake ad hoc marketing travel within Christchurch and nearby towns in the Canterbury to market the company’s packaging products with a focus on the ethnic food outlets.
- Management of stock levels to ensure customer demand are met. Overseas and local ordering lead time must be planned and taken into account. Stock purchase to adhere to the allocated monthly financial limit.
- Establish an understanding of the group’s product range. The demands and needs of the local customers in the retail and wholesale sectors.
- Co-ordinating regular stock counts and resolve discrepancies.
- Manage and lead a team of two/three retail assistants. Monthly customer service and product training to ensure it meets company’s expectations.
- Ensure sufficient staff capacity by recruiting, inducting, supervising, training and reviewing employees.
- Seek new channels to promote and establish new customer connections. This includes social and online advertising, static advertising, media etc.
- Plan and implement sales promotion and advertising activities for Christchurch retail on a monthly basis. Crucial periods include Ramadan festival, Christmas, Black Friday and other statutory holiday promotions.
- Identify slow moving or new arrival products and seek ways to move these items through promotional and advertising channels.
- Ensure customer outstanding funds are collected on a timely basis.
- Accurate records of all transactions are recorded along with required documentations. This includes daily transactions with full reconciliations.
- Setting sales forecast for Christchurch Store every financial year. Update as a rolling forecast monthly.
- Ensure company’s health and safety process is followed onsite.
- Be proactive to avoid potential H&S incidents. Report any incidents using correct process
Wages will be $27 - $32 per hour, depending on qualification and work experience. Wages will be paid fortnightly.
Days required- Monday to Friday – 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday 8.30 am to 4:00 pm (minimum of 30 hours a week).
