Fast food cook - sushi supervisor- kelburn parade

We are looking for someone with 2-3 years experience in Asian/Japanese cuisine including preparation of sushi, sashimi, deep frying, cooking of teriyaki chicken , rice cooking, sushi boxing presentation, and sauce making.

There is heavy lifting involved in this position so the ability to easily lift 25kg is a requirement.

You will require excellent knife skills, full understanding of food safety and hygiene, and the ability to be able to work independently in a fast paced environment.

You will also be involved in customer service which at all times must be to the highest level.

When the manager is not on site you will act as a 2nd in charge in a supervisory level. There is a training programme available to the right applicant. Therefore you will require strong communication and leadership skills and be 100% reliable.

This position is based at Maki Mono Victoria University Wellington - Kelburn Parade.

Early start time required of 6am Monday to Friday - closed all public holidays. Minimum of 30 hours per week
