Motel Receptionist - Part Time
Woodlands Motels and Apartments is a 17 unit motel complex located at the Northern end of the
Dunedin CBD. It offers a range of one and two bedroom units set amongst a garden setting.
Due to a recent change in staffing, we are looking for a customer focused individual to join our team at Woodlands for a part time front desk receptionist role.
This is a permanent part– time position totaling 24 hrs per week with full training provided.
The shifts required each week are:
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 2.30-6pm
- Friday 8am - 6pm
enquiries by phone, in person, and processing online reservations. Carrying out daily administration
tasks, using both email programs and excel spreadsheets. Also undertaking any other reception
duties that may arise during the shift, eg checking each unit after they have been cleaned, and on
occasion there may also be a requirement to give a hand to the cleaning team with some light duties. Being prepared to undertake basic maintenance tasks, for example checking a fuse or changing a light bulb.
Someone who is friendly, welcoming and provides an efficient service to all our guests.The role requires motivation, a sense of humour, computer skills (previous knowledge of hotel
property management software is beneficial) and the ability to work the majority of each shift in a
sole charge position. Reliability, punctuality, an excellent telephone manner and the initiative to
solve problems is also necessary.
Although motel experience is not essential, some experience in customer service, reception andtourism areas is an advantage.
