Part-time Caregiving Role - No Experience Required

The work involves being the client's 'hands', and helping him be as independent as possible. i.e. this is more about helping the client live how he wants rather than looking after him as he self directs his own needs. This includes helping him shower, go toilet, get dressed, prepare meals, clean the house etc.
No experience required, we are looking for someone with the right qualities. You will however, need to be good at following instructions, and learning from any mistakes.
- You will need to be reliable, as the client is completely reliant on support workers to get out of/into bed and do daily activities.
- The client is often busy with work and errands, and is good at giving specific instructions, so you must be able to remember and follow multiple specific instructions well.
- Shifts include five midweek afternoon shifts from 4pm-7.30pm Mon-Friday (or Sun-Thursday).
There is usually some room for flexibility of shifts within each day, depending on the clients’ plans. Other workers are often available for cover.
Payrate is ~$27-28 per hour.
The client lives with his wife and 4 yro child. It is less formal than a typical work environment.
He works full-time from home, but often needs driving into town to run errands. You’ll need to be a good driver and be willing to accept some backseat driving, as he doesn’t have good balance, so you’ll need to drive slightly differently to what you might be used to.
