Are you an experienced Panelbeater ready to take the next step in your career? Looking for a place where your skills are valued, your growth is backed, and the culture is second to none?

Welcome to Maidstone Panelbeaters.

We’re a trusted name in the Wellington region with a reputation built on quality, integrity, and doing right by our customers and our people. Based in Upper Hutt, our modern, high-performing workshop handles everything from minor repairs to full structural work, including the latest in EV and Tesla repairs.

We are a team of 25 and work alongside all insurance and fleet companies. We are proud to be an authorised Tesla repairer, delivering consistent, top-quality results. But what really sets us apart is our team. We back each other, we push for excellence, and we enjoy what we do.

The Opportunity:

We’re on the lookout for one or more skilled and motivated Panelbeaters to join our crew. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be restoring vehicles to factory standard — no shortcuts, just high-quality work you can be proud of.

You’ll be responsible for:
  • Interpreting repair instructions and technical information.
  • Carrying out structural and cosmetic repairs across a range of makes and models
  • Removing and replacing damaged panels and components
  • Using welding and metalworking techniques with precision
  • Using 3D chassis machines and the latest measuring equipment
  • Working closely with estimators, painters, and the wider team
  • Keeping your work area clean, safe, and well-organised
  • Delivering every job with care, pride and attention to detail
What we’re looking for:

You’re trade qualified (or have equivalent experience) and you know your way around a modern repair shop. You’ve got great workmanship, solid problem-solving skills, and a collaborative, can-do attitude. You take pride in what you do and you’re always up for learning more.

What’s in it for you:
  • Secure, full-time work in a stable and growing business
  • Competitive pay based on your skills and experience
  • Flexible working hours to suit your lifestyle
  • Ongoing training and professional development — including Tesla certification
  • A modern, well-equipped workshop with everything you need to do your best work
  • A workplace culture that’s supportive, down-to-earth, and full of good people
  • Regular team shout-outs, social events, and a genuine sense of camaraderie
  • Long-term opportunities to grow with us
