You won't just be managing tasks; you’ll be translating high-level strategy into a narrative that inspires your people and provides a seamless experience for our customers and suppliers.The successful candidate will begin as the Manager for “Region 3” which is made up of our Regional Collection teams spanning from Wellington to Invercargill, however, as a permanent Data Collection Manager, you may be responsible for leading Data Collection teams across all modes of collection, in any area of the country, depending on the organizational need at the time: Regional Data Collection: Managing regionally based teams using multi-modal survey methods, focusing on flexible workforces and regional health, safety, and wellbeing (HS&W).
National Data Collection: Managing nationally focused teams in a fast-paced environment using calling and email-based methods and rostered workforces.Note: As a key leadership role, you may be rotated between National and Regional teams (with your agreement) to support your growth and organizational needs.Key Responsibilities Lead and Inspire: Translate our strategic direction into a meaningful change narrative for your team.Continuous Improvement: Review processes and systems to improve time, cost, and quality while driving innovation. Production Stewardship: Manage the end-to-end production of products and services, ensuring optimal resource management while managing risks and actively drive innovation and high performance.
Relationship Management: Build strong internal and external relationships, walking in our customers' shoes to ensure they remain at the center of everything we do. Safety and Culture: Actively ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of our people and promote an inclusive culture where staff feel valued.What you bring | Nōu te rourou We are looking for an experienced leader who upholds the public service values of being impartial, accountable, trustworthy, respectful, and responsive.Core Requirements: Experience: 2 to 5 years of experience managing mid-to-large teams and over 10 years working in a service delivery environment.
Expertise: Strong background in operational collection activities (regional, remote, or contact center environments). Technical Skills: Proficiency in everyday office software (Microsoft Suite) and an understanding of statistical products and services.Diversity and inclusion: Examples where you’ve demonstrated, encouraged, or supported diversity and inclusion in or outside of work.
