Join our team as a Production Assistant in the Hamilton area.This is a casual position, available on an "as and when required" basis, depending on business needs. We run two shifts: day and night, operating seven days a week. Day shift hours are 5:00 AM to 5:30 PM, while night shift hours are 5:00 PM to 5:30 AM.
Being a Production Assistant You will be involved in multiple aspects of bulk food production within the Central Production Unit, ensuring all tasks are performed with due regard for Health and Safety and Food Safety regulations.
Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:
- Maintain clean and tidy workspace, including cleaning work benches, kitchen surfaces, and equipment.
- Assist with preparing and packing food, following recipes and using kitchen equipment as required.
- Handle leftover food and packaging, sorting for collection and washing dishes.
- Deliver food to schools in a safe and efficient manner when needed.
- Perform inventory tasks, including loading and unloading delivery vehicles, and assisting with inventory counts.

- Team player with the ability to work autonomously.
- Flexible approach and attitude, with good communication skills.
- Hardworking, physically fit, and reliable.
- Able to speak, understand, and write English.
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment and operating standard kitchen equipment is desirable.
