About the role
We are seeking full-time Delivery / Courier Drivers to safely pick up and deliver parcels and freight to homes and businesses across our delivery network.
You will:
- Plan and follow daily delivery runs using GPS / run sheets
- Drive a company vehicle (car/van/light truck) to complete scheduled deliveries and pick-ups
- Safely load, unload and secure parcels and freight
- Check freight against manifests / scanner information
- Obtain proof of delivery (POD) via handheld scanners or signatures
- Record delivery status accurately in company systems
- Provide friendly, professional customer service at each delivery point
- Carry out basic daily vehicle checks and keep the vehicle clean and tidy
- Follow all health and safety and road-safety requirements.
- Current NZ Class 1 driver licence or equivalent (or higher) – overseas licence is acceptable.
- Good knowledge of road rules and a safe driving record
- Physically fit and able to repeatedly lift and move parcels up to approx. 25kg
- Basic English – able to read addresses and instructions and communicate with customers and dispatch
- Good time-management and reliability – able to follow routes and meet delivery timeframes.
- Guaranteed minimum 30 hours per week (full-time), typically 35–45 hours per week depending on workload
- Rostered across Monday to Saturday, early morning starts may be required
- Hourly rate $24.00 to $28.00 per hour per hour, depending on skills and experience
- All tools of trade provided (company vehicle while on duty, fuel, uniform, PPE, handheld device).
