As part of our Meat Processing Team in Waikato, you'll play a key role in ensuring our sites comply with regulatory and company standards, providing our customers with top-tier meat products and service.

About the Role:

In this vital role, you’ll implement and maintain compliance programs that ensure the quality and safety of our products. You’ll actively contribute to a culture of ethics, compliance, and continuous learning within the organisation.
  • Location: Te Rapa Park, Waikato
  • Shift: Rostered for five days a week between Sunday and Friday, 7 pm to 3:30 am
  • Position: Full-time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate on-time delivery of protein products to specification from the Waikato Butchery Processing plant.
  • Manage and engage in Food Safety programs at the SF Waikato site.
  • Oversee shelf-life validation, regulatory limits, and labelling requirements for products.
  • Participate in quality control processes to ensure products meet safety and quality standards.
  • Implement quality assurance programs and initiatives.
  • Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are upheld in the department.
  • Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Monitor meat-packing and processing functions for a smooth workflow.
  • Inspect product quality before packaging.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 1-3+ years of experience in food processing, butchery, or food safety.
  • Experience in food processing, food product management, or meat manufacturing is preferred.
  • Familiarity with the food service or meat processing industry.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage competing tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Operational Excellence environments is a plus.
  • Fluent in English with excellent command of the language.
