Geneva Painting is a well-established painting company operating in Northland. We have a great opportunity for upto 5 experienced painters who are looking to grow their careers.
This is a full-time, permanent position with a minimum of 30 hours per week, and is based in the Far North district of Northland. Our work is very widespread and so applicants must be prepared to travel throughout the region to where our jobs are located and be capable of working unsupervised as will be often working on their own in remote areas.Applicants must have a sound knowledge of the painting processes and industry, a minimum of 2 years painting experience and be able to pass both a police check and a drug test if required. Written references confirming work experience are essential.
The hourly rate for this position ranges from $30 to $32.00 depending on experience.
We have a wide and diverse customer base with significant clients throughout and as such we require someone who is able to deliver reliably and dependably no matter the client and scope of the project.
The key requirements of the job include the following :- To fully understand the requirements of each painting job undertaken and the requirements and processes to be followed to complete ;
- To have a sound knowledge of painting applications and processes ;
- To prepare surfaces to specification, ready for painting ;
- To apply coats of paint according to both the job and paint specification to the required standard of finish ;
- To meet both the job’s quality standards and the targeted completion time. Be able to work at a commercially productive rate with accuracy ad quality ;
- To be fully organised in all aspects of undertaking the job and behave in a professional manner ;
- To follow the specified painting processes and adhere to company systems and policies ;
The normal working hours will be between 7.30am and 5.30 Monday to Friday, however there may be occasions when Saturday work is available from time to time.
