Job Description:
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to join the team at Burgers Motor Works. The ideal candidate should be an exceptional General Mechanic who is fluent in both spoken and written English. You must be capable of independently solving complex mechanical and auto electrical issues and effectively communicating details and guidance to the rest of the team.
You will work on a variety of European vehicles, providing diagnostics, repairs, servicing, tire fitment, and wheel alignment/balancing to ensure our customers' cars run smoothly and safely. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of quality and expertise that our workshop is renowned for.
Key Responsibilities:- Fluent in both spoken and written English.
- Perform general maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles and machinery.
- Diagnose mechanical and general auto electrical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Replace defective parts, including engines, transmissions, and suspension components.
- Fit tyres and balance them
- Carry out wheel alignments
- Communicate effectively with our service advisers to provide updates on repairs and maintenance.
- Ability to rebuild engines and replace timing chains/cam belts. A strong understanding of modern engine operation and timing is essential
- Good communication skills in English are also necessary, as you will need to discuss faults and solutions with service advisers and customers
- Clear written documentation is important for effective communication with service advisors and major mechanical warranty assessors
- Ability to accurately read and follow repair instructions
- Work as part of a team to meet deadlines and customer satisfaction goals.
- Fluent in both spoken and written English
- Proven experience as a General Mechanic
- Strong knowledge of vehicle system and mechanical repairs.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A valid driver's license and any relevant certifications are a plus.
