Position Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and bilingual (English and Chinese) Business Consultant to join our team. This role involves supporting CEO with business analysis, operational planning, and the implementation of organisational improvements. The successful candidate will evaluate current business practices, streamline systems and workflows, and facilitate cross-functional communication.

Knowledge of New Zealand culture and local life in the Southland region is highly desirable.

Due to the CEO’s primary use of Chinese in day-to-day communication with the management team, fluency in both English and Chinese is essential for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and execution of business strategies to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Analyse current systems, structures, and workflows to identify areas for improvement
  • Engage in discussions with team members and observe operations across various levels of the organisation
  • Draft proposals for revising workflows, redefining job functions, and optimising organisational structure
  • Support the implementation of recommendations and prepare documentation, internal manuals, and reports in both English and Chinese versions
  • Conduct work studies and review administrative and operational procedures
  • Facilitate cross-functional communication, particularly between Chinese-speaking and English-speaking stakeholders
  • Provide operational support to hospitality and property management units as needed

Key Requirements:

  • A tertiary qualification in business, commerce, or a related field (MBA preferred)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese
  • Experience in business consulting, operations analysis, or project coordination would be an advantage
  • Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, multicultural environment
  • Occasional business travel may be required, and legal eligibility to drive in New Zealand is necessary
