Cafe Chefs
Our Cambridge based cafe's are currently seeking dedicated and experienced full-time Cafe Chefs (working 35 hours or more per week) to become an integral part of our dynamic kitchen teams.
Responsibilities: Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies
Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentationDiscussing food preparation issues with Managers and kitchen and waiting staff
Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures
Preparing and cooking food
Explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations
May select and train staff
May freeze and preserve foods
Requirements: Minimum of two years of proven experience in a similar role in a fast paced kitchen
A can-do attitude and friendly personalityTakes initiative and see what needs to be done
Shifts are spread across the entire week, so weekend availability is a must
Remuneration minimum $27.00 - maximum $32 p/hr

Cafe Manager (working 35 hours or more per week) to become an integral part of our dynamic Front of House team.
We are looking for an individual with a positive attitude, ambition, and the ability to handle responsibilities seamlessly in a fast-paced environment. At least two years of relevant experience required
Responsibilities: Responsible for the daily operations of the cafe
Provides professional leadership and direction to cafe personnel. Scheduling staff breaksSelecting, training and supervising FOH and kitchen staff. Monitoring staff ratio to stats.
Initiating ways to increase profitability
Responds to customer needs promptly, accurately and efficiently
Seeks and communicates feedback from customers with meals and service
Provides food and beverage service to guests
Have input to planning menus in consultation with Chefs
A can-do attitude and friendly personality
Takes initiative and see what needs to be done.
Understand the importance of developing and looking after a loyal customer base.
Ability to build a rapport with customers
Take reservations, greet guests and assist in taking orders (including phone and social media bookings). Planning and organising special functionsReheating and presenting cabinet food and preparing takeaway orders.
Running beverages and meals to tables
Making Espresso coffees, smoothies and iced drinks
Clearing and cleaning tables, washing dishes may be required
Ordering Café supplies and pricing as needed according to budget. Maintaining records of stock levels and financial transactions (including annual café Stocktake for accounting purposes)
Cleaning as required by Food Control Plan. Completing inductions of new staffMaintain a professional attitude at all times.
Abide by all Health and Safety instructions and other instructions from the Gourmet Delicious Directors. Ensuring dining facilities comply with health regulations and are clean, functional and of suitable appearance. Completing inductions of new staff
Remuneration $25 up to $30
