  • About the roleJoin our dedicated International Student Services team and make a real impact supporting international students at the University of Waikato!

We have two exciting fixed-term International Student Advisor roles available.In this dynamic role, you'll provide personalised pastoral care, guidance, and support to help students feel welcomed, safe, and connected throughout their university journey.

Working collaboratively across the University and with external partners, you'll help deliver engaging events, workshops, and orientation programmes that foster belonging and success.You'll also contribute as part of a supportive, multifunctional team, taking responsibility for a portfolio area while assisting with wider team initiatives.To succeed, you will:Have experience supporting students, ideally in tertiary education.Understand the unique challenges international students face.Be an excellent communicator (bilingual skills an advantage).Bring strong administrative and digital skills with a compassionate, proactive approach.Must have working rights in New Zealand to be considered for this role.If you're passionate about student wellbeing and cultural engagement, and thrive in a collaborative environment, we'd love to hear from you.The salary for this position will be in the range of $71,275 to $84,695 per year, depending on the skills, knowledge, and experience the successful candidate brings.We are recruiting for two roles:One full-time position (37.5 hours per week)One part-time position (22.5 hours per week)Both roles are 12-month fixed-term appointments to support organisational priorities and project requirements.
