About the role:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Logistics Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a logistics or warehouse environment and hold current Forklift, Reach Truck, and Stock Picker licenses - or be willing to obtain them.An MPI Accredited Person (AP) certification is required or must be obtained upon employment.
This role involves the efficient handling, movement, and storage of goods, while ensuring compliance with all health and safety, and MPI biosecurity regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, reach trucks, and stock pickers to load, unload, and move goods safely
- Conduct daily inspections of equipment and report any maintenance issues
- Ensure accurate picking, packing, and dispatch of customer orders
- Perform stock checks, inventory counts, and record keeping
- Follow all site safety rules and participate in toolbox meetings
- Ensure all goods are managed in compliance with MPI standards
- Carry out Accredited Person (AP) responsibilities, including devanning and inspecting imported containers
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the warehouse
- Assist with general warehouse duties as required

What you Bring:
- Carrying out your work as outlined in the company training modules, operations manual, policies, rules, standards, and procedures.
- Wearing the correct uniform and PPE that is supplied for the tasks you are doing, and to take care of them and your appearance so you represent Fliway professionally.
- Performing all functions in a safe manner
- Processing outwards orders on a same day basis
- Ensuring 100% accuracy in all tasks
- Operating computer and scanning hardware and software consistently in accordance with rules and procedures.
- Ensuring a high level of security is adhered to
- Operating all plant and equipment as per operating procedures
- Experience in the industry
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment
- Current Forklift, Reach Truck, and Stock Picker license (or willingness to obtain)
- MPI Accredited Person (AP) certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Good understanding of warehouse safety and biosecurity requirements
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Successful candidate may be required to travel between both Fliway Wellington sites to support the team
