Long Haul Truck Driver

Beds4U is looking for an experienced Class 2 driver with a clean licence and a great attitude to join our team! This is a full-time long-haul delivery role, driving across the North Island to deliver beds and furniture safely to our customers.

What You’ll Do:

• Drive and maintain a Class 2 truck, ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and on time.
• Plan and manage long-haul delivery routes efficiently across the North Island.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections to check for any maintenance or safety issues.
• Load and unload furniture and beds carefully at delivery points, ensuring items remain damage-free.
• Work closely with the dispatch team to receive route updates and provide delivery status.
• Support the Distribution Centre (DC) team when needed with loading and unloading.

What We’re Looking For:

• At least 1 year of Class 2 truck driving experience.
• Full, clean Class 2 driver’s licence.
• Good organisational skills and basic computer knowledge.
• Strong awareness of road safety regulations and vehicle operation.
• Ability to maintain travel logs, fuel records, and daily delivery paperwork.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently on long-haul routes.

Requirements:

• Current, unrestricted Class 2 driver’s licence with a clean record.
• NZ Resident or Citizen.

Pay & Hours:

• 40–60 hours per week as per roster.
• Overnight trips: Accommodation and food allowance provided as per company policy.
