Boutique Living is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Estimator / Quantity Surveyor (QS) looking for new challenges in a dynamic and growing building company.

We are a Leading Development company with a track record of delivering high-quality homes in Canterbury, and various locations around New Zealand. We’re looking for a talented Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to help us continue our success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and manage cost estimates, budgets, and reports.
• Verify that the pricing on all invoices aligns with what was agreed upon in the purchase order or contract, and check quantities were delivered to site correctly
• Work closely with project managers and the design team to ensure project specifications are met within budget and time constraints.
• Read construction plans to quantify products and check off picking slips prior to delivery to site
• Quantify areas to check off on subcontractor’s quantities and sizes being charged on invoices

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience as a QS within the building or construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and costs.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines when required
• Familiarity with construction software (e.g., Buildertrend, Xero).

This position requires a minimum of 30 hours per week. However, Days and total hours are negotiable for the right candidate.
