TeAM Employment Specialists work one-on-one with people to assist with all aspects of their employment search (from CV development, job brokering, to interview prep and on-the-job training). We work closely with mental health providers to deliver a wraparound employment support service.
The Role
This is a part-time OR full-time role, working 20-40 hours per week (Monday – Friday 8:00 to 4:30p, approx.) Some flexibility is required.
Working as a part of our West Coast TeAM, and based in Greymouth, this role supports referrals from Te Whatu Ora Community Mental Health Services. We work within communities right across the Coast so regular regional travel is required.
The Employment Specialist is responsible for actively supporting a caseload of up to 20 people to find employment and provide on-going in-work support.
This role requires strong organisation and relationship building skills, confidence networking with employers and community resources, and a keen eye for detail to effectively match the skills, strengths, and aspirations of individuals to employers’ recruitment needs.This role requires the confidence to meet a wide range of employers to discuss and create suitable employment opportunities.
This is a highly varied role where no two days are the same and would suit a self-starter who enjoys motivating others and working creatively to achieve results.
A level of confidence working independently as well as strong IT and administration skills are essential.
A Full Driver’s License and Police Vetting are requirements for this role.
Pay Scale: $23.38 – $ 29.10* per hour(approx. annual salary range 48,630 – 60,528*)
- This role is covered by the Pay Equity Settlement for Mental Health and Addiction Support Workers with pay rates based on relevant qualifications (Level 4 Health & Wellbeing).
