About the Organisation
Health Hawke's Bay (HHB) - Te Oranga o Te Matau-a-Maui is the region's Primary Health Organisation. They are committed to equity and better health outcomes for Maori and underserved communities. Te Uru Matai is their innovative Access and Choice primary mental health team, supporting whaiora through kaupapa aligned, community-based models of care.
About the Job- Lead, coach and develop a team of Health Coaches across general practices in Hawke's Bay.
- Support a diverse, non-regulated and lived experience workforce under a nationally funded model.
- Facilitate and deliver professional development and in service training
- Nurture and develop stakeholder relationships with general practices and community partners.
- Monday to Friday, 40 hours/week, reporting to a collaborative, values-led manager.
- Proven leadership experience. You are skilled in managing diverse teams with empathy, structure, and accountability.
- Confident communicator - comfortable building trust with health professionals and stakeholders.
- Life experience, emotional intelligence, and the ability to guide others with care and clarity.
- Familiarity with health systems and digital tools
- A strong commitment to and understanding of equity and Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles.
- If you are not a registered health professional, then you will have had exposure to working within the complexity of the health system.
- Full Drivers Licence
