Medical Laboratory Scientist MicrobiologyTechnical Specialist MycologyTe Whatu Ora Health New Zealand | Counties ManukauHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.We are currently seeking a New Zealand-registered Medical Laboratory Scientist with diagnostic medical mycology experience to join our Microbiology team at Te Whatu Ora Counties Manukau.About the ServiceThe Microbiology Department is based on site at the Middlemore Hospital campus and provides a 24-hour service to Middlemore and Kidz First Hospitals, as well as the Manukau Health Park.
Our service supports a population with complex health needs and delivers a range of regional and national services, including the National Burns Unit, plastic surgery, and spinal rehabilitation.The department is actively involved in teaching technical and medical staff and works closely with the Infection Prevention & Control Service and the Infectious Diseases Department.About the RoleAs the Technical Specialist Mycology, you will join a well-established and supportive microbiology team.
