Lead Diesel Technician (Leading Hand) - Rotorua

You'll be instrumental in guiding our technicians, ensuring top-tier service quality, and maintaining our reputation for excellence in the heavy transport industry.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Diagnose and repair
• Supervise and mentor the technicians
• Encouraging Team Collaboration and Efficiency
• Allocating tasks
• Managing repair schedules
• Ensuring timely completion of Customer Delivery
• Quality Assurance , Compliance, & Health/Safety
• Ensuring customer satisfaction
• Identify training needs and facilitate ongoing professional development for team members
• What We’re Looking For:
• Minimum (5) years in the heavy vehicle transport industry, with at least (2) years in a supervisory or lead technician role.
• Proficient in servicing and repairing DAF, Cummins, or Kenworth engines; adept with computer and mechanical diagnostics.
• NZQA Level 4 Certification in Heavy Automotive Engineering (Road Transport strand) or equivalent
• Valid Heavy Vehicle Driver’s License (Class 4 & 5)
• Familiarity with SAF and BPW systems, COF servicing, gearbox and differential maintenance
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities; commitment to safety and quality.
