Bar manager

Legends Sports Bar is the Premier Function Venue in Porirua City Central and as the new owner I am looking for a talented Bar Manager that shares my vision to grow the venue to its full potential.

The position is Full-Time permanent with a minimum 30 hours per week rostered between Monday and Sunday.

Starting hourly rate is $30.00 per hour.

To be successful in this role it is essential that you are self-motivated, have worked in a Bar that has a significant “functions” component to its operations, have outstanding skills in customer service, be a team player & have a "can do" attitude.

Main duties & responsibilities include:

• Ensuring that high standards of quality & customer service in the bar are maintained.
• Ensuring compliance with our venues liquor licensing, host responsibility, food safety, work safety and gambling harm minimization policies.
• Manage the venues social media presence and function bookings.
• On-boarding and training of staff.
• Managing Bar duties & front of house hosting.
• Managing Gaming Machines.

The knowledge & skills you will bring include:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, particularly within a similar licensed premise.
• Being well presented and professional
• The ability to be inspirational and motivational to your staff.
• A passion for providing exceptional customer service
• Self-motivation.
• A NZ Managers Certificate & LCQ (essential)
