Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes (curries, roasts, tandoori, rice, breads) following authentic recipes.
- Operate and maintain commercial kitchen equipment (ovens, tandoors, grills, fryers).
- Supervise kitchen assistants in prep and ensure consistency of dishes.
- Maintain strict compliance with NZ food safety, hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness standards.
- Assist with ordering and inventory, monitor stock levels, and rotate ingredients.
- Work efficiently during high volume periods, coordinating timings and plating.
- Collaborate with the team to maintain quality, presentation, and guest satisfaction.
- Minimum relevant 2 years of experiences
- Strong understanding of Indian spices, blending, and cooking techniques.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen environment.
- Team player with communication skills and willingness to learn.
- A Level 4 Cookery Certificate or above could replace the required experiences.
