With continued growth across the North Island, we are looking for a driven Recruitment Consultant to join our Petone team. This role suits someone who understands the pace and realities of blue-collar recruitment and enjoys being close to both clients and candidates.
The Role
This is a hands-on position combining business development, account management, and full-cycle recruitment. You'll work closely with clients across warehousing, manufacturing, and labour hire, providing practical staffing solutions that keep operations running smoothly.
Success in this role comes from being proactive on the phone, confident on site, and organised enough to juggle multiple live roles at once. If you understand urgency, shift cover, and the importance of sending the right worker the first time you'll do well here.
Key Responsibilities- Grow and maintain strong client relationships across blue-collar sectors
- Win new business through proactive outreach and on-site visits
- Take detailed job briefs and deliver tailored recruitment solutions
- Source, screen, and interview candidates across multiple channels
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from brief through to placement and onboarding
- Ensure workers are site-ready with correct PPE, inductions, and compliance
- Act as a trusted advisor to both clients and candidates
- Previous recruitment or sales experience 3+years (blue-collar exposure highly valued)
- Understanding of labour hire, warehousing, manufacturing, or construction environments
- Confident communicator who can build rapport quickly on the phone and in person
- Resilient, self-motivated, and comfortable working to targets
- Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Flexible and willing to roll up your sleeves when the role demands
