About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and service-focused Travel Consultant to join our Queenstown team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about tourism, with strong communication skills and a genuine commitment to providing exceptional customer experiences.
As a Travel Consultant, you will assist clients with tailored travel planning, bookings, and support—ensuring each journey runs smoothly and exceeds expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality customer service to clients, including responding to enquiries and assisting with travel arrangements.Research, design, and present customised travel itineraries and recommendations.
Manage bookings for transport, accommodation, tours, and related services.
Resolve client issues and provide problem-solving support when required.
Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, suppliers, and partners.
Ensure all travel plans meet client expectations and comply with company policies.
Accurately maintain client records and booking systems.
Skills and Experience RequiredDiploma or above in English, Tourism, Hospitality, or a related discipline (or equivalent).
Proven experience in client communication and customer service.
Strong interest in the travel and tourism industry, with a willingness to learn and grow into the role.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build rapport and deliver high-quality customer service.
Demonstrated ability to research, organise, and present travel information clearly and accurately.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills to ensure clients' travel plans run smoothly.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Fluency in English (additional languages such as Mandarin are an advantage).
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and the ability to learn reservation/booking systems quickly.
