About the roleWe have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and innovative experienced nurse who wishes to work within the Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Sub-Regional Service.
The role is predominantly based at Wellington hospital in both the ENT outpatient and inpatient environment.You will have a high level of autonomy in decision-making, managing your own outpatient clinic workload to achieve optimal health outcomes for all New Zealanders.
This includes managing both acute and chronic conditions, as well as collaborating with relevant contacts to improve overall health outcomes.As a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS), you will be recognized as an expert in the ENT field, offering guidance and support to your peers when needed.
You will join a dynamic ENT team, consisting of senior medical officers, senior registrars, and a supportive CNS, all working together in a collaborative teaching and learning environment that fosters personal and professional growth within the ENT specialty.
Practice development and supporting change implementation is an important aspect of this role.The CNS will work closely with the multi-disciplinary team (MDT), with the aim of improving patient outcomes and optimising care.
The salary range for this role is Grade 1 to Grade 4 senior nurse- pro rata.About the Team/Service Location Ear, Nose and Throat Surgery (ENT) also known as Otorhinolaryngology (ORL) covers all ENT procedures and also includes Head and Neck Surgery.

The ENT team provides an inpatient and outpatient care to the greater Wellington region population at Wellington, Kenepuru, Hutt Valley and Wairarapa hospital sites.This position is primarily based at Wellington hospital, however the successful candidate will be expected to work across all sites within the greater Wellington sub-region as required, recognising that the majority of work will be at Wellington Hospital.About youAs an excellent communicator, you will have a positive, enthusiastic, innovative and proactive approach that exudes confidence in people.
