Vehicle Workshop Assistant

We are offering a $55,000+ annual salary, negotiable depending on experience and qualifications, for someone to join our Hastings team as a Vehicle Workshop Assistant.

We are looking for a highly motivated person to assist with the day to day operation of the Hastings dealership including yard maintenance, motor vehicle reconditioning and associated work.

The job will be varied and you will provide support to our busy Workshop Department and at the same time deliver a consistently high standard of Superior Service we are famous for.

The role includes but is by no means limited to:

• Monitoring the movement of vehicles through our reconditioning process
• Liaising with suppliers and contractors
• Maintaining a high level of attention to detail
• Liaising with Sales department to arrange vehicles for delivery and collection
• Be available for out of town deliveries
• General yard maintenance work
• Fitting of accessories
• Carrying out basic mechanics

You will have:

• Basic understanding of vehicle mechanics
• Ability to self-manage and work unsupervised at times
• Energy and a team player mindset
• Excellent communication skills
• Full NZ Drivers Licence without conditions
• A varied work week no 2 days the same
